Has anyone tried the Carnivore2 cartridge with their MSXVR? I know the CF I/O won't work, however, I they way I read it, any images stored in the "flash ROM" and menu should work, although ZanacEX seems to work ok, there are issues with some Konami ROM's. The enhanced version of Gradius fails, as does any of the SCC ROM's, even through the analogue AV sockets. The media screen is full of corrupted characters too, perhaps I should just try and use SofaRun of some other utility? I've only had the MSXVR device for a couple of days though.

It has just come to our attention that our game Angelic warrior Deva has an issue with the MSXVR. When you save the game to S-Ram, the whole cartridge gets corrupted. Does anybody know who to contact to see if this issue can be solved using a software update in the MSXVR?
Deva flashes to the EEPROM inside the cartridge. If the wrong block is selected gamedata gets corrupted. Assuming interrupts are nicely disabled during this writing process The MSXVR behaves in such a way that the flashwrite commands are misinterpreted by the flashchip. Someone who has a mfr+SD could try this on the MSXVR using a game that saves to the flashrom and see if the game corrupts on the MFR or CARNIVORE2 as well. Not only DEVA depends on this exact mechanism. There is another game that would propably corrupt.
Does only the savedata corrupt or does all the data on the cart corrupt?
All data gets corrupted so the game can't be played anymore. Cartridge has to be erased and flashed again.
This happens directly? Or only after trying to save the game?
Is it possible to configure slots 3 and 4 to be SCC+? I'd love to play the enhanced version of Nemesis with the voice enabled, any suggestions?

Last night I informed Alberto of this problem (it has not happened to me because I am playing it on the nms8250 with flashjacks), I am waiting for the solution.
If someone who happened to you can tell how the mistake was. that is, if the VR was started with the cartridge connected and playing normally.
but this should not happen, in the gng it saves the savestates and scores correctly (although it is a cartridge of pazos).
