Is there a tool I can use to play Moonblaster songs from the MSX-DOS prompt? The Impact disks for example have great music but because I don't know which tool to use, I either have to boot from the floppy OR load Moonblaster.
So is there a command line tool that I can use and say play fileX DrumkitX
and enjoy the music?

That'd be FAC Soundtracker.
I know there's something for Moonblaster but that's not going to help you here. If you want to play Moonblaster files you can search for MBMPLAY.COM.
But be advised: Moonblaster music does store to some extend which samplekit to use but is half of the time wrong. Neither does it store if music was composed for 50Hz or 60Hz. Here is a collection of Moonblaster files sorted in 50/60Hz folders and having the correct samplekit metadata embedded so you know what samplekit to load.

I want to add support for MoonBlaster (MBM, MFM and MWM) to RoboPlay as well. For MBM and MWM I already found some file format specifications (or player source code), but not for MFM. Is this anywhere to be found?

And where did you find this program? Its not in the FTP archive nor the download page on MSX.org. Googling mbload and MSX doesn't give useful results. Thanks!
