Musical Memory Mapper et MEGAFLASHROM SCC+SD incompatibility ?

Hello friends,
I am the proud owner of a Musical Memory Mapper and a MEGAFLASHROM SCC+ SD.
when I want to launch a Coleco ROM without the Memory Mapper, no worries except that I have no sound ... normal you might say without the memory mapper.
but when I put the Memory mapper in the slot 2 of my Philips VG 8235, then the rom Coleco does not launch any more.
I changed the Slot cards to swith between slot 1 and 2, not better.
I tested the MMM with TestMap 4.2, no worries.

Do you have any idea ... I'm frustrated ...

another question, to map the 4 partitions of my SD for LEGAFLASH CART, I launch a small BAT file. Is there no way to automate this during boot? partition "A:" of MEGAFLASH does not allow writing to Autoexec.bat.

About how to modify the AUTOEXEC.BAT
Copy all the files from ROM DIsk (A: ) to your microSD card (B: )
Then create a dummy file (e.g.: an empty text file) with the name NEXTOR.DAT and copy it to your card.
From now on, the cartridge will boot from you microSD card (A: ) so you can edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT or any other file you need.

How much RAM has your 8235? Are you trying to execute coleco COM files or ROM files from archive below?

COL4MMM.zip

COM files don't use the memory mapper, so them should work on any MSX.
Same for the SG1000 loader.

Do the games work if you run them from floppy disk without insert the MegaFlashRom?

@Guillian, thanks. Works right.

@Enribar & Gdx, results of the tests :

MMM in slot 1 or 2 - launching from disk / No Megaflash inserted :
- Francky files work but no sound
- ROM2MMM 0.81 load rom but MSX reset and stuck
- MMM COM files : loading then stuck

With Megaflash inserted, same behaviour.

SG1000 is working well with sound (with and without MMM)

My MSX2 have 128Kb of memory

When I launch with memory mapper, nothing tells me it that MMM is inserted. Normal ?
if I lauch a test RAM PROGRAMME, it detects the MMM

Is there any software outdated that I use ?

Yes, the ram you see at the bootscreen is not read from the system, just hardcoded printed.

There cannot be sound without the MMM if you use SG1000.COM.

ROM2MMM displays "MMM Not Found" when it is not found.
Anyway your tests indicate that there is no conflict with the MMM.

I'm going to take a look at the MMM detection routine...

@Gdx, you're right for SG1000 and yes I tried without the MMM to launch ROM2MMM and had the message.

So thanks for looking for the the MMM detection routine. I think that will help some other users.

What you are describing looks like a hardware problem that occurs when the sound chip is activated and it does not receive the clock signal (defective soldering or Crystal Oscillator). If you test your MMM on another machine, the problem should persist. Have you tried with another MSX?

so what's the deal ? is there any SAV avalaible near ?
