Were any pictures taken of what was in the box the last couple of times? A bit curious on what was actually in it.

And I had put in a Dutch book about creating TextAdventures, A Philips NMS1150 Graphic tablet, a disk with a text adventure demo of a self-made game(-ish) and some cassette tapes.

I did some googling on ebay on the lootbox itself. It seems to be a tin box of a german Christmas Cookie ("Lebkuchen") manufacture. The box shows a scene with the title "Einzug Kaiser Karls IV. mit Gefolge zum Reichstag in Nürnberg in Jahr 1355" ("Entry of Emperor Karl/Charles IV with entourage to the Imperial Diet in Nuremberg in 1355").

Here are some running ebay auctions (only for example!), it seems that this type of box is not seldom. Maybe also check marktplaats.nl?

Thank you for your efforts, Golnebo. I know that it can be very nerve-wracking to have such conversations.
In the end, the delivery service will certainly still profit from it; I know of public auctions that trade such lost packages:

Hi dan,
my intention was to check ebay for any hints on the remaining of the loot box and its contents. Just had the idea, that someone might sell the stuff secretly ...

But to start a new lootbox with a similar tin box is also a nice idea.
@hamlet: did you already planned something in this direction, like get a new box? Should we get one of these ebay auctions?
