Tried to log VHD pins 6,7, and 9. But needs to build the 4069 based amplifier circuit (as in the C9C circuit) to get proper signal from VHD-6 pin.
Also tried to dump X1 VHD interpreter cassette, but as CZ-8RL1 is not fully functional (does not play, or play some time and then stop randomly), had to use normal cassette deck. The result is not working in X1 emulator (x1tape: wav -> tap), as tape error occurs during loading after 1 minute mark. When recorded wav file is opened to DumpListEditor, it shows checksums ok for every line it outputs. I looked at the binary content it had detected, but there was no apparent commands seen there for VHD language itself. There was however seen those parameters that are given for MSX _VP command also:
H01:N0:D0:D2 H01:U0:E:RS0F0 M2:M5:IC:F0:RP H01:N0:P:G0 RP:U0:W0 H01:N0:D0:D2 U0:RS0F0:ODA:A0 M2:M5:G1:F0:RP H01:U1:N0:G0:RP
It seems X1 dump was somehow succesfull, when using latest dumplisteditor. Now can start VHD interpreter side dump in x1 Xmil emulator:
but from the binary, no VHD language specific commands are seen.
Hello Popolon, this is matten.
Congratulations on your progress.
This week i was able to run a sharp x1 vhd game with great success on all original hardware.

I also took pictures of the inside of the x1 vhd interface unit.
I don't understand how to post images here, but you can write to me on facebook, im "cousin hubert" there.
Have you been able to dump your cassettes to wav and archive them on archive org?
So far i seem to be the only one to care to do that for the community : (
I have not ever used archive org for uploading. Have to check it on weekend.
It's just a matter of 5 min!
Everybody uploads there, either manuals, floppy images,movies... Very convenient and free!
Ok, i just uploaded the Thunder Storm game cassette as cas-file, as I did the dump in real msx hardware originally.

THX popolon_ !
That is nice!
I won't be able to personnaly test it (i only have the x1 interface so far)
I think i bought the manual for IF-7900 VHD card.
Hi popolon_
I have read all the thread and not sure if you have finished the recreation of the VHD interface. Have you fixed the video issue or need more time to do?. I have a couple of games but no interface yet so, I'm very excited to see the succes of your project!.
Regards.
