For " Les Passagers du Vent", if you lose, you have to begin again the game, since the beginning.
It does not block. It say to you a "game over", by a sentence.
It is necessary to find the good answers, to progress in this game.
There is only 1 volume. You can finish it easily. The volume 2 was never realized on MSX.
Both L'affaire and Les Passengers du Vent have a very odd atmosphere. I felt it back then and booted both of the games today and the same feeling struck me again. Interesting
By the way there is an english version of l'affaire. I saw it once: it did have a few stray french texts though. Don't know whether it was an official version or a fan translation.
passagers du vent is based on a comic book.
Yes lionelritchie. The series " Les Passagers du Vent " (The Passengers of the Wind), was written and drawn by François Bourgeon. The last book, will go out at the beginning of 2010, 25 after the first one !
I am delighted to announce that the frenchies of MSX Village (Walter.MSX and myself) have managed to resolve L'affaire... after 34 years of headache.
You can read the solution here :

Many, many thanks for your efforts.
You are very great men, really!
Well done. I've never finished the game either...
Do love the music of this game though!
Thanks very much. This and Vampir Killer were my first MSX2 Games (bought with the Philips VG 8235 in 1986).
Beat the Game 2 Years later. Like the music very much.
Had the German version, with some french lines between too.
Unfortunately, someday the disk won't work anymore.
Would be great if someone has a english or german DSK file.

You can play the English version here: https://www.file-hunter.com/MSX/index.php?id=laffaire
Although you can't download there, I've heard that by clicking the disk-icon in WebMSX you can actually save the disk-image ;-)
