Warp Rattler, check. I used to have that manual too.
Salamander... I do think it got some heavy atmosphere, but it's so friggin' hard.
It's the only one in the "saga" that I couldn't beat.
Nemesis 3 indeed kicks some serious ass.
Any heavy metal fans around here? The first time I read the manual of Salamander, it totally cracked me up, because all the enemy names are derived from metalbands, i.e. Nuclear Assault, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest etc, etc...
And don't forget Venom.
cool!

...And Iggy "Rock" (not so heavy)
...and what was the fisrt: "Dream Theater :Take the time - Dance of infinity..." or Konami musics ?
I think Dream Theater released their first album in 1989, but they are supposedly formed in '85 so...
Oh, and don't forget the name of Zowie Scott's plane: "Thrasher"!
Also in Firebird, there's a password called "Metalslave". My guess is, a bunch of guys at Konami must have been some serious headbangers.
Metalslave is the nickname of one of the Konami programmers. So it makes sense
Ah, it explains a lot.
