MSX ain't dead,it just smells funny
MSX ain't dead,it just smells funny
Maybe you should have cleaned it, since 1983
I think the smell is from sweaty fingers and too many hentai games
My MSX is dead - i need to change the fuse in my mains switchbox
That is better.....
TurboR boot up = 1.5 Seconds - booted up with my personal menu driven autoexec program.
Homemade PC boot up = 4 mins - booted up with Win2000
My fastest bootup is a Tandy model 100 - count it in less than a second - load Nishi's excellent operating system and start using the built in editor instantly
oh come on, djh1697... MSX and Tandy 100 just have to wake a little CPU, a few Kb of memory, organize the memory pages, check the integrity of the hardware, load the BIOS and the DISK SO, activate the sound circuits, look for external devices, execute boot files...
...
the same as windows with PC!!!
Niles the Tandy Model 100 has no DISK OS to load, and no sound circuits to load - unless you call a "beep" a sound circuit.
I guess it was an unfair comparison
Heheh... lured you in with the topic title, didn't I!?
You Bastard!!
MSX ain't dead,it just smells funny
HEY! Why you don´t bring your MSX to repair immediately!! If electric device starts to smell "funny" there´s a big chance it could be in flames in next moment!

Ermm... oops: I tried to do a joke, I'm affraid
sorry djh1697 ^ ^
i caught the funny side, English humour? or just me?

Guard yourself, Sire! All Tandy PCs had some crazy 3-channel synth chip, same as in IBM PCjr. So "beep" yourself
