Well, that's good info. Best thing is to put such corrections on the genMSX forum, so we won't miss it and can all process it.

Excellent idea!

But there's a problem I always face when I work on patches for dsk games: bad dumps and cracked versions. Maybe only dumps from original disks should count, like the games/original_disks directory in the MSXarchive website.

For example, I don't know any perfect dump of the following games/programs:

  • Playball III from Sony
  • Daiva-5 from T&E Soft
  • Print Shop II from Sony

Another question is: I just bought Playball-III and Print Shop II. When I actually receive them, who should I contact to get the dumps uploaded to the MSXarchive?

Best thing is to make DMK dumps with the DMK tool.

I thought to modify a "Beecard Atari" a little as I fact for "Beecard Msx" but we must have the software that suits: (

I have Space Shuttle original cart and maybe another from the list. Buck Rogers is not dumped? I played this game time ago (and not using a original cart).

Hi Igal.
So... thank to you, I have understood more the use of the Toshiba Modem 300/300 - 1200/75.
This is a great concept cartridge: it embeds a modem and a slot that works like the Bee Card reader.
So you don't need a second cartridge or to load software in RAM from a mass storage, because program will be loaded from the bee card. You can change the card, and you can change the software, and software will manage the modem. I don't know if it could work as a Bee Card Reader... in other words, if software itself, or a key, could disable the modem and use it directly as a Bee Card Reader. I will try with Star Soldier on Bee Card, since I never try this modem on a real MSX.
Btw, the card I found inserted into the slot is the: Toshiba Videotel, produced by Micro Tecnology b.v.
You may already know that Videotel was the Italian Teletex system, know also in the 80s with other names all across European countries.
In Italy Toshiba was very active in the field of MSX networks, there was a project with the Italian Educational Ministery to install MSX networks in schools. Philips too was in this field, but more tailored to business (home banking, etc.).
I have a manual too, there are many command related to the Videotel software on card.
Here an example (translation on-the-fly from the manual):

HOW TO CONNECT
To access to the command set, you only need to press the "/" key, followed by the needed command.

/= phone number
It will be asked to compose the phone number directy using the keyboard. To connect to the VIDEOTEL simply use the number 165 without any prefix. F1 function key is the default key to compose the 165.

Other commands are: /S to save the displayed page to the memory buffer; /W to write on floppy or tape a file with the saved pages , and so on...

So, I think this Videotel software has not been dumped, yet.
I will try with my Bee Card Reader, the 1chip MSX and saverom.com.
Stay tuned!
