Hello All,
I have a question concerning the CAS connector: If I were to make the following cable, could MSX-A share programs with MSX-B, if A were to CSAVE and MSX-B were to CLOAD?

MSX A ---------- MSX B
gnd 1 ---------- 1 gnd
gnd 2 ---------- 2 gnd
gnd 3 ---------- 3 gnd
CMTout 4 ---------- 5 CMTin
CMTin 5 ---------- 4 CMTout
REM+ 6 ---------- 7 REM+
REM- 7 ---------- 6 REM-
gnd 8 ---------- 8 gnd

Has anybody tried this before?
Greetings, Ron.

Sorry, it will not work... Sad Connecting REM-signals is useless (it is "output only") and you need only one GND, but the actual problem is that those CMT signals need to be amplified. If you find solution to that hardware problem then it should work software vice.

I'm not sure at all, but maybe something like this could solve your problem. (Use one of the channels for MSX A -> MSX B and the other for MSX B -> MSX A)

Maybe you could consider Acrobat-232 cable/adapter to connect 2 MSX computers using joystick port.

Hi guys,

I'm gonna try a simple opamp circuit, and see where that gets me.
If successful then I may integrate it into the machines.

Thanks for the input!
Ron.

This is how I did it in the 80ties. Worked fine. Replace the old 741 with any modern cheap opamp.
