Ah I guess you had Konami/Hudson rom files on your site too?
This really sucks for Konamito, but his reaction is exaggerated IMO I'd comply and remove the files from the server, and then make an angry blogpost about it. But taking the whole site down? to quote mr Jorito: And what good does that do?

So this is how Konami appreciates our love and support.

Can Konami Legal dept. also define "Game Music Cover Challenge" and many tunes in the MSX Music player embedded in MRC as copyright infringement ? "we do not give any permission to you for ... alternation, etc. ... game data of our contents" sound like it. Also, are remakes (using same or altered gfx/sound/storyline etc.) legal ?

Konami made the stuff. So it is theirs. Perhaps not in a legal way but at least in respect to their work and copyrights.

But then again I recal some other discusion from 'some' people stating that there is no such thing as respect for the creators of games in the MSX scene. Oh, My!! Those Taliban coders that dare to only release games on physical cartridges!!
Emulators stand above the law and should be pleased at all costs by everyone.

This one page only stuff is such an emo/ego action to get attention.

As for Konamito.es. Just remove the stuff man! I really like the site I never really realised that it was possible to download games there. I understand you are pissed and dissapointed just think things over and continue the great blog you have.

I know I know I must be totally wrong. I'm probably just a frustrated ex-MSX creator who is really fed up with this kind of returning discussions.

Can anyone explain to Konami that MSX <> Wii U?. If they want to make tons of money porting their old roms to the brand new platform, they can do with all my best wishes. If I really want to play MSX games in a Wii U, I'll buy that console and I'll buy these games. If I want to play them in my old MSX, I'll plug one of my original Konami carts and I'll enjoy some minutes of real nostalgia.

Now, after decisions like that I can only think, "forget Wii U and keep your trusty MSX machine".

And to the new people, "forget Wii U and buy a shiny and real MSX machine"

Leave it some time, as you mention he's really disapointed, having a page called "Konamito" means something about him, isn't it?. I'm sure that he'll come back with some design & content changes

I think Konamito site is down because the incoming high traffic, not down by Konami's request
