Plan for this is to enable associations in the SofaRun .INI file, like MultiMente & other file managers (something like .PT3: pt3play.com %f).
I'd like SofaRun to keep beeing controlled with only a 2 buttons joystick, there might be some questions with that to make it a real all-in-one file manager. How to select easily multiple files for example (that feature might be handy for separate disk images...). I also have some constraints on the code size, the .ZIP file support will already take a good amount of RAM I guess ! But well, there are always solutions
I would love that.
Louthrax: how about 'long-click' or 'double-click'?
Louthrax: how about 'long-click' or 'double-click'?
Hey, that's definitively a good idea. Commonly used for mouse, but I never thought to use that with a joystick interface.
Or do stuff with "hold button and move cursors" or whatever you can think of
Just a quick question: Just got myself a Zemmix Neo. Do you plan on supporting the ESE SCC+/MegaRam of the OCM/Zemmix for loading ROMs? As I understand you only support flash?
I love SofaRun by the way, makes it so much easier on lazy days
Hi Algorythms,
I first wanted to have something part of SofaRun itself to handle other flash devices, but maybe I could do something simpler waiting for that. Just launching an external "flash" tool, specified in the SR.INI file ?
Some questions before going for that:
- What's the best flash tool for ESE SCC+/MegaRAM devices ?
- Does it support mapper type specification ?
Some MFR features (like not reflashing if file is already flashed) might not be available.
That sounds great! I just started playing around with the Zemmix, so I don't really know which loader is the best one, but I use mglOCM. On my Turbo-R I used a modded Snatcher cart (added more sram) and TNI's Romload. I see now that Romload should also work with the ESE SCC, so maybe this can be used with the OCM/Zemmix too. They both support different mappers.
Yes, I'd like to pass the "mapper type" options from SofaRun to the flash program if possible, this will probably restrict the use to a single program. Could you test if Romload works on the OCM ?
I will, as soon as I get home from work. I'm pretty sure the ESE is based on the Konami SCC+ carts, so it should work.
