Where is MBWAVE ASM replayer ?

Hi all,

I'm looking for MBWave asm replayer.
I want to try out some Moonsound test tunes, but I can't find the MBWave replayer.
I found one on teambomba website, but this only a replayer for DOS2 and for Basic.

Does anyone have (a link to) MBWave asm replayer ?

There is no specific version made for used in asm, besides the dos2 version. At least not a version that was maintained by me. You can use the sources in Wave driver . Which you need to adapt to your needs.

Hi msd,

I am unable to read the the important files

I just see garbage.
In notepad2 only garbage. In wordpad all text without enters.

Do you have a readable source for me pls ?

I think I need .ASC files instead of .ASM files.
I downloaded WBASS and opened the file, and saved it as Save/a "filename", but this resulted in the same garbage

Note that these are adjusted for F-kernel, but work stand alone just fine.

No sorry this is MoonBlaster for MoonSound f-Kernel driver, supports only MBFM v0.90 - v0.92.

I'm not looking for the FM part, I'm looking for the Wave part -> MBWave

I figured the word "wave" in the filename tells the story. buh, hey iz been a long time (we're talking 1995) since I last touched stuff like this. I;'ll have another look. Else I'll ask Remco.

Remco released the source code for MoonBlaster 1.4, FM and WAVE, including replayer sources. I couldn’t find it online elsewhere in a quick search so I uploaded it here.

Moonsound appears to be kind of obscure... with little info to find in an easy way. To underline this: current 0.17.0 version of openMSX sounds horrible with Moonsound (some kind of weird aliasing going on), and has been sounding like that since 0.15.0. I guess no one really used it since 0.15.0, which is probably testament to the whole popularity of this device.
