I’m stuck again. Tips are welcome.
1) I don’t have the map.
2) I Need fuel for the lighter.
3) Can’t get the keys from the Pelican.
EDIT: Asking for tips here seems to be the magic way to discover by yourself how to do what you have been trying, just after you asked.
EDIT2: Ok, unlocking one item unlocked all the items in sequence.
I don't have neither a light pen, nor the touch pad. Good suggestions but impossible to implement without having the hardware.
Ok. And maybe the trackball, do you have it?
(Please don't get me wrong, I'm not nagging. I'm just looking for better options to play from my sofa than the joystick or mouse. )
We know that plugging the mouse does not work. I think detecting the mouse is way to slow to do all the time. So it only does that at initialization. Not sure about it since I did not write the HID function myself (Stephan did).
Humm. But the title screen doesn't do a lot of stuff, does it? Having the continuous detection there, and an option on the journal menu to return to the title screen should be enough for this game.

No sorry. I mostly use a custom made arduino based USB to DSUB convertor.

Sure. Asking does not harm anybody.

The title screen is not any different from any other scene. It is made in the same engine.
The thing is, we had a lot of trouble getting the HID to work correctly on Turbo-R. If I start changing stuff in the HID again we need to test it on Turbo-R intensively. And you might have guessed it, we don't have one. So I am not too eager to tinker around with it. But I'll but it on the backlog.
If we pick it up, I'd like it to continuously probe for devices. If we would do it every 3 seconds, it does not have that much impact.
EDIT2: BTW is it still possible to get forward if I run to this issue?
Yes. I've played though this build multiple times.
Ok, next tip please... What to do with the map? I can put leaf and hay to trashcan, but it does not get me forward.

Traditional... Two days without progress and now I found it out right when I asked.

Nice. I am glad you throw your trash where it belongs. Cleaning up +1 points.

For who is interested in the audio. Some raw footage of audio notes about SD published. It does contain some spoilers.
The sound in this game is something else, and that's not just from an msx perspective.
Why was the art style done in the way it is? It looks like higher quality artwork that was changed to accommodate screen 8. It's not something you usually see for a game. What's the story behind it?
O, and congrats on #2 in msxdev.

Thanks, 2.5 years continues walking around with an Edirol R-09HR in my pocket and working almost everyday on the audio ' shows' in the result :-). Maybe SjaaQ can tell something about the gfx.
