Smooth Scroll on MSX1

Hello,

This weekend I found this demo with a smooth scroll for Colecovision:

I have never seen such scrolling on MSX1 except Uridium. So I converted the demo for MSX.

It work fine. An MSX game with this scrolling will be nice. :)

Horizontal scroll on MSX1 is quite doable with a limited set of tiles.
Now a multidirectional scrolling, that's another thing ......

Unfortunately the code was lost and Tam Tam's beta, and the truth is that it is impressive.

In the video use the palette of msx2 but it is msx1

Agreed; I guess Lotus F3 is getting away with it by having a very limited number of tiles?

Ohh, never seen Tam Tam Twin before, that looks really nice! Too bad the code was lost. It's not a smooth scroll though is it?

I spoke with dvik while he was making the lotus f3 and he told me he ran out of tiles to use.... so it's not that limited.

No, the code is not lost. Just the team splitted.
And no, it's not smooth scroll, it's blocky.

Awesome demo! It is screen 1 and all details are sprites, but it is spectacular
Only, it would be hard to make a game out of it, unless you add flickering for everything
