hy guys! id like to ask you a question before i get paranoidLOL!

one of mine msx2 cartridges, if i shake it gently, makes a noise, as if a part of the internal mechanism wasnt fixed...

i have the same problem for many of my nes cartridges...but the games work...

anyway, is it a serious problem...? if so, how can i fix it...?

thanks!!!

No.. i don't think it's a big problem. Maybe a piece of plastic inside .. i have several of those also..
Wink .. the problem is if you open it .. maybe you will damage it..

ok thanks guys because i was a little worried...anyway, i dont think it is a piece of plastic, it seems that the entire game is moving inside (just a little and slowly..)
what could it be...?
can i relax or have i to worry about it..? Crying (i apologize for any mistakes, im from italyTongue)

It is probably becasue they used dynamic memory instead of static memory.
What you hear is the bits that aren't fixated properly. This can happen if you don't use the cartridge on a regular basis since dram bits needs to be refreshed often to stay in their designated position.
I recommend that you use that cartridge for at least 24h straight and then use it for at least an hour every day during a 2 week period.

Or perhaps it is just a piece of plastic Cool

ahhh ok, so bore was joking/kidding right..?Big smile

anyway, i checked my cartdrige just now, if i push gently the part with the pins on the left, the game goes inside for about 3 mm (it goes inside on the left side only) so maybe the game hit the cartridge from the other side...thats why i hear a "toc"...so i wonder, will be a problem to insert the game correctly...?2/3 mm are very few... i ask because i cant try it now, i dont have the msx2 anymore...but im going to buy a usb gamereader soon...

thnaks!!

EDIT i watched at a picture on google just now showing an opened cartridge...the noise maybe because a little peace of plastic on the up-left side is missing, so if i push the pins on the left side the game hit the cartridge...mah...
