And how could TMS 9918 produce such high quality and even smoth scroll both horizontally and vertically? There must be something missing in MSX machine compared to TexasInstrument machine. A hardware thing not a software maybe.
Anyway that is imazing.

Yes, its graphics looks definitely better than MSX! I am not sure what the difference between its TMS9918 and MSX's. The 16bit CPU can change the overall graphics quality?
They use a TMS 9918 pin compatible replacement, providing (amongst other things) horizontal and vertical scroll registers:

The tms9918a is the same, there is no extra hw (and the msx is faster than the ti99/4a), it is only matter of coding.
The algorithms for peudo 3d roads are well studied, this one explained on atariage
That's not a stock TI-99. It has this onboard:

No you are wrong, the video in the first post is a plain tms9918a.
The version with the F18A is this

Algorithms and development of the two versions are explained here

It is the old tms a proved by monochromatic sprites and border Less montains
From the same coder on plaind tms9918
Ah, similar stuff to that can be seen in the demo IO.
