I am developing a PS/2 to MSX mouse adapter. Wink

I already developed some very popular PS/2 to Amiga and PS/2 to Atari adapters, so in response to requests I am doing the same for MSX Cool

PS/2 to MSX mouse adapter already tested, working and done:

pad(12), 13 and 14 are not supported on MSX1, so for that to work, you need the msx1muis binary from NYYRIKKI

Just bear in mind though, just like in every other project, I can't please everyone. The main object of this exercise is to provide a replacement for ageing worn-out MSX mice. Anything else is a bonus Wink

I totally agree! Looking forward to this project! Smile

Would be cool, if you could implement mouse-wheel support as well:

If you are interested, we could test it as soon as you are ready!

BTW I'm already ready to test your code during weekend, if you have something to send to me. I've already implemented the protocol in mouse. :)

Lol I had all this before with the Amiga adapter. For some reason scroll wheel functionality became ultra-critical, even though the original Amiga mouse didn't have it. The problem is you'd have to write slightly different MCU code for every different make of mouse. It's just not practical.

This is not true... See the standard here.

I'm struggling getting hold of an MSX machine to test the adapters on, and I will have the first batch of circuit boards tomorrow... Sad

I'm interested... Would you like to open up a bit / put a link? It seems that you know something that I don't...

I couldn't get this or the listing on the other link working at all.

This one worked perfectly on my MSX1:

10 PRINT STRIG(1);STRIG(3);STICK(1)
20 GOTO 10
RUN

Mounty: that's for joystick, which is fully supported on MSX1. This has nothing to do with mouse, but a mouse will give some signals on it. Which are useless.
