(c) 2004 - 2010? Did I miss anything?
Anyway... quite impressive. I wonder how much the R800 is overclocked though.

The emulator requires V9990.

I guess they used OpenMSX to make the video.

It was said in the video: "There's no dynamic recompiler yet either, so for purpose of this video the R800 CPU is overclocked.".

Now we can finally play StarSoldier, StarForce, RoadFighter, Nemesis, Contra, Zanac, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Circus Charlie, Galaga, Bomberman, Dragon Slayer IV, Final Fantasy, Metalgear ... errr wait Wink

Just kidding, maybe a SMS emulator was more reliable

LOL! LOL!
I agree.
I understand this is a challenge. Different processor, different graphic system...
What next? Commodore 64, maybe?

On the other hand, you could finally have a good version of Green Beret, Double Dragon and Contra on your MSX, just to name a few. And play games that never were released on MSX, like Megaman, Castlevania 2 and 3, Super Mario, Punchout... NES has a big library, with many classic games that never appeared (or had only bad ports) on MSX.

Well, then I think is better to do some good ports instead of emulate another machine... I'm pretty sure that a TurboR (no need to overclock the R800 nor to add a v9990) can do much better than a NES...
