That interface from Rafael does not have any support to read and write 1.44 disks.
And I know nothing about that chipset from Western Digital.
It would take months to understand it and make lots of tests.
We will try to support it in a new version of DSK-PRO.
But for now I really need a real disk with some overlapping sectors lock for me to study it.
Any can help?
Do you have any Japanese disk games?
Do you have any Japanese disk games?
Yes, I do have some jap games and I can let Marcos Daniel take a look on them.
How other games have this kind of protections?

Surely it won't take that long, you are after all TOP 3 in the world by a HUGE MILE, with 30 years of experience.
I have original disks of Akin which I call sell to you, if you're interested in continuing development.
Yes dear ricbit, but I don't have the time to work on it.
Thanks for your help bud.
mister.phr0zen: most of them, at least the Microcabin ones do. Which do you have?
Which disk games did you test so far with the upcoming DSK-PRO 9?
Actually I have no protected game disks.
I have a lot of brazilian aplication disks with differente locks:
Chave Mestra 1, Chave Mestra 3, Versor, Hello, Aquarela, Série Prokit, Serie Master, etc
But all for Port Based Western Digital chipsets. It will not work there. Just Aquerela can work there because there lock is just a CRC error in 2 sectors.
I need the protected disks from Microcabin, Sunrise to analise the locks. Without them, I can not do much. I don't have the time to analyze the DMK Files to try to write them to a real disk.
I need a real working disk to analyze it.
I don't tested anything, Marcos Daniel is making the DSK PRO 9.0.
I have the following games:
- XAK The Art of Visual Stage
- XAK Rising of The Redmoon
- XAK The Tower of Gazzel
- Princess Maker
- Super Dainsenryakyu
- Fray in Magical Adventure (MSX2/2+)
Those all have the 11 overlapping sectors copy protection, as far as I know. I created dmk files for Xak 2 and Gazzel. Here's the output of analyze-dmk for Gazzel disk 3, for the last track:
-- physical track 79, head 1 0: AOfst= 158 C= 79 H= 1 R= 1 N= 2 ACrc=472d,ok DOfst= 202 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 1: AOfst= 815 C= 79 H= 1 R= 2 N= 2 ACrc=127e,ok DOfst= 859 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 2: AOfst=1473 C= 79 H= 1 R= 3 N= 2 ACrc=214f,ok DOfst=1517 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 3: AOfst=2131 C= 79 H= 1 R= 8 N= 2 ACrc=fdb5,ok DOfst=2175 T=n DCrc=8575,ok 4: AOfst=2217 C= 79 H= 1 R= 9 N= 2 ACrc=ce84,ok DOfst=2261 T=n DCrc=649b,ok 5: AOfst=2831 C= 79 H= 1 R= 4 N= 2 ACrc=b8d8,ok DOfst=2875 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 6: AOfst=3445 C= 79 H= 1 R= 5 N= 2 ACrc=8be9,ok DOfst=3489 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 7: AOfst=4059 C= 79 H= 1 R= 6 N= 2 ACrc=deba,ok DOfst=4103 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 8: AOfst=4673 C= 79 H= 1 R= 7 N= 2 ACrc=ed8b,ok DOfst=4717 T=n DCrc=86b5,ok 9: AOfst=5287 C= 79 H= 1 R= 8 N= 2 ACrc=fdb5,ok DOfst=5330 T=n DCrc=9554,ok 10: AOfst=5372 C= 79 H= 1 R= 9 N= 2 ACrc=ce84,ok DOfst=5416 T=n DCrc=649b,ok
(sorry pasted the wrong data before)
Meaning of this:
Legend:
AOfst: address mark offset in track C: cylinder H: head R: record (sector number) N: sector size (in bytes: 128 << N) ACrc: CRC value of the address block DOfst: data mark offset in track T: data mark type (n = normal, d = deleted, ? = unknown) DCrc: CRC value of data block Raw track length = 6231 bytes
So, Rudolf, send them to me, So I can take a look!
