I updated the R#9 in the wiki.
I updated the R#9 in the wiki.
Thanks.
By the way, I'm always logged-out when I go to this page https://www.msx.org/wiki/VDP_Mode_Registers. :-/
I wanted to add bold to R#25 flags and links to mentioned register when not on the same page.
R#8 – b#5 (TP) (color 0 setting)
The description of this flag suggests that it only affects MSX with a video input
If no video input the color 0 is black when this bit is 0 because no signal.
Black or dropback color?
Sorry, I still don't understand the final color of color index 0 when TP equal to 0 or 1 (without video input).
R#8 – b#7 (MS) (mouse setting)
How does it work in practice?
It requires hardware to be usable.
What do you mean?
I saw Mouse can be handle by BIOS on MSX2, but I don't see the link with the VDP.
PS: For the video inputs stuff, it's still not clear for me, but I'll leave that aside for now. ^^
Black or dropback color?
Sorry, I still don't understand the final color of color index 0 when TP equal to 0 or 1 (without video input).
If this bit is 0 when there is no superimpose device connected, no signal is received so the color 0 remains black.
What do you mean?
There is no hardware in MSX computers to connect a mouse to the VDP, except in Korean MSX2s.

This is a bug from MRC. When we are logged in and go to the wiki, we have to log out twice from the wiki.
