A while ago Meits and me were talking about MSX. Nothing fancy there... this just happens once in a while. This very discussion lead to some old hardware I have lying around at the attic. A turbo-R in particular... Today I started digging in the huge pile of hardware and made some pictures of the object of choice.

Please don't feel harassed by this pictures. You better might consider it as an "ultimum respectibus " to a faithfull piece of hardware which gave it's best.

W76NearDark, If you still happen to have the R800 chip, I know that sd-snatcher was hoping to see if someone might donate theirs from a broken TurboR to be dissected by the Visual6502 preservation project to extract some very detailed information from the chip. There was a thread opened about it here:

sd-snatcher said that if the chip were to be extracted, there would be a good possibility of these chips possibly being able to be reverse engineered to assist in future MSX hardware projects, and better R800 emulation.

Anyhow, this is just food for thought in case you still had the chip and it was just sitting in a drawer somewhere.

Ah, there's the machine you told me about (@ msd: he bought it like this because the former owner thought he could do something with the parts... Dunno if he succeeded though )

@W: Where's the disk drive I promised Ro (fuzz) to ask you to look for and see if you could surprise him with it to complete his ST? He looks like he vanished in to nasty particles O_o

It's previous owner cannibalized it to keep a Panasonic MSX2+ running. Quite odd... I know.

It still might be in huge pile at the attic. In the near future I plan to show some more wrecked/crashed/cannibalized hardware so I might recover it then
