Hi,

I bought a Mando/Paddle controller (http://retrocables.es/tienda/index.php?id_product=2225&contr...) but someone noted, I think on Ebay, but without source, that it is a bad product and could damage a computer. Is there something to that story?

They say it's MSX compatible. You could ask for the pin-out if you're not sure.

The original Atari Paddles won't damage the MSX, but they also don't work. But this is a clone, so you need to confirm its schematics. In joypad mode, it should work fine, but it has only 1 button.

You need an adapter to be able to connect the (original) Atari paddles to the MSX.

And the second button will probably not be usable without modification.

Thanks, I'll do that. So if the pin-out is not compatible, can it damage the MSX?

Will you share the pin-out, so we can see what the 5V are connected to?

I think it depends on button 2. It is not connected to the same pin on Atari / Comodore.

Yes, once they've responded to my request.

It is a single button controller.

If you hit hard, it can.
