In the USA was the power supply built in or was it an external brick

Anyone have one of these in the USA?
Would it be a good first MSX machine to buy?

I have four US version CX5Ms. In US version of CX5M, the power supply is included in the body of MSX. There is no US version CX5M which has an external AC adapter.
