Bug in F1 Spirit 3D Special?

Many won’t know but F1 Spirit 3D Special has a PSG soundtrack as can be heard here. The strange thing is when I boot the game on e.g. a Panasonic FS-A1FX it has no sound, same on a HB-F1XD. I assume it is a bug in the game’s MSX Music detecection but my skills in assembly are way to rough to actually confirm let alone fix this. Maybe it was fixed a long time ago and I can’t find the correct IPS…

Can anyone confirm what is happening and point me to a fix?
