Here's the complete map of the old classic game Sorcery.

The map contains all keys and door-links. In fact, this game is all about mapping! I used to play it in 1986 or so, but always ended dying in the water or just getting bored looking for a key. But with the map, things are a lot easier :)

That's probably not the best 80's game (no in-game musics, only 3 types of ennemies...), but it received lots of good reviews when it came out in France. And for those who spent some nights trying and never managed to finish it, it can be fun to finally beat the game :)

The MSX version has the bigger play-area compared to other platforms (50 different screens). The "Bow and Arrow" weapon shoots mainly to the right, be sure to be on the left side of your ennemies to use it efficiently (have a look at the "Weapons" area in the map to check the shoot-pattern).

Enjoy !

PS: If anybody from MSX Solutions is reading: feel free to add this to your great site! I can provide you my SVG sources if you want to modify things.

I think very few people were brave enough to finish it on MSX :-) I remember that avoiding drowning in the water using the old Philips joysticks was a just nightmare, you had to "sit" on the door first then go around to open it safely !

IIRC, there is a bug in the game (using uninitialized memory?) which prevents the doors from getting opened, or something.

Never really experienced a consistent bug during the game, but just that the doors were so close from the water that if you land on it too low, you slide and drown in the water like a miserable piece of sh#t.
And of course some doors need key :-) I was a bit disappointed by that too, so many different objetcs (Magic Book, Magic Wand, Bar of Gold... !) which are all just... keys Shocked! . Even the Padlock can be used as a key !!

I can beat this game any time I want. Hannibal I had to make a map (with pencil and paper) and also a 'script' to guide me to what screens to go first, since there is a lot of item swapping and the enemies love to suck your energy dry if you are wandering too clueless.
