It should be possible to remve the switch to 60Hz from the ROM file.
If you're using a MSX2 machine try pressing SELECT to toggle between 50Hz/60Hz. You must notice the speed change inmediately...
In the news post about this game, Oniric Factor have confirmed a digital release will be released as well. That's the pattern they usually follow.
About the 60 Hz problem, I think it's something they simply have overlooked. Send them an email, probably they can help you out.
thanks for the support...I will do this immediately once I am done working!! I am anxious to play this game!! And yes, I am a proud own of MSX 2 hehe.
Select does not work
Ouch , may I ask what MSX2 machine do you have?
Sanyo Wavy J23 MSX2. I mean, even if the TV do support 50Hz and it is PAL/NTSC, the MSX itself is NTSC exclusive. It will not be able to produce colors for the game and itself may not be able to produce correct Hz signal itself. I understand now that from that site they focus on European market exclusive and don't support 50/60 Hz. Which means...if I do want to play games from that site, I need to put it in my mind that these games must be digital only and can only run in emulator. I do pray they don't make adventure/RPG games then..only platform, shootup games and games I don't really care if I buy. It will hurt badly if they make sweet RPG, action RPG, platform adventure, graphical adventure game and I am forced to run it on an emulator!! That would suck!
Your MSX will output 60Hz by default. I doubt the game will put it on 50Hz without your consent.
Which output do you use, RGB or composite?
Composite.
Do you mean the PHC-23J?, if so your best bet could be the RGB output, only if your TV supports this of course...
