Just find yourself a friend in Japan, send him cash, let him do the bidding for you, give him a financial contribution (percentage on every auction or so), and let him ship them to you (you pay shipment costs of course).

Simple.
I've done it too in the past, but I never did such big-scale importing as rklok does Smile
Most of the stuff I imported was for my personal collection.

If you're interested in importing stuff yourself, I can give you an email of a trustable guy in Japan. Just contact me by mail.

thanks argon, maybe I will do that sometime but not now because i dont have the time right know, but are these items really that cheap in japan ? Those cartridges are almost 20 years old so how common can they be nowadays over there ?

There are Internet sites specialized in bidding on items in Yahoo Japan for you. You could probably build a pretty complete MSX Konami collection in a few months from Yahoo Japan. I've recently even seen things like A1-Spirit. Unfortunally, from my very limited experience, it seems that you will not save that much money compared to Ebay after you have added the extra shipping costs and the commission.

They are a lot cheaper than when you buy them on eBay, that's for sure.

I used to bid until I had a big (let's say 50x50x50cm) box full of cartridges.
Then I used surface mail, which takes about 2 months to arrive.

Shipment was very cheap if you ask me, only minus was the long wait.

Argon:

You've found a better service than I have! The ones I've been involved with didn't let you combine the shipping from several of sellers.

Oh, that's too bad.
That must be much more expensive.
