I don´t want to frustate you but there is not even a chance when the minimum price for these units in japan auctions is not less of 400 euros + intermediate comission + internal shipping + international shipment + Paypal commissions + customs.

Anyway good luck

All the units are not in Japan... One of them was sold last year in France for 250€. Of course, it'll be difficult to find another one this year for the same price.

Perhaps this is an option for you in the future ? Price is not yet known.

I hope an affordable 1ChipMSX becomes available in the future, until then,
there's no way I'd pay the prices people charge now. It's just not worth it, better to get a ST...

Less money, and a 'Real' MSX Wink

Altera DE1 board is a good alternative, and a lot cheaper too. The FPGA on it is from a newer FPGA family (Cyclone II) and much larger than the one in the 1chipMSX.

Drawback is that DIY is needed to add cartridge slots and joystick ports.

It would be great that the "expansion board" with the joystick ports and the cartridge slots would be available for sale, to complete the DE1 boards. Then, all of us could have a OCM ready, out of the box, machine. Maybe some of the hardware gurus could take a look on this...
