I'm trying to save some screen shots from MSX-games using various of MSX emulators, but I have a problem with the 4 sprites/line limit. If I try to save a really busy screen there are usually at least one sprite that's just partially visible.

Is there any emulator where I can disable this limitation?

blueMSX can't? openMSX has such a feature as well. Maybe it's an idea to add to blueMSX though.

Thanks!

I couldn't find it in blueMSX.

The games looks and feels a lot better without that limitation.

in openMSX it's available from Catapult or in the console via the "limitsprites" setting.

It has a disadvantage: try the Maze of Galious when you go into a shrine. Some games make use of the limitations of 4 sprites per row Smile

hmmm, paraMSX seems to always include black scanlines in the screen shots (even though I have disabled it).

Trying openMSX/Catapult, but I still haven't got it to work properly on my computer :-P

Hello,
If updates bluemsx to add the disable limit sprite button?
Existing openmsx to disable sprite limit BUT........
bluemsx is much improved, but should update to have the available sprites in a row along (16 sprites per line)

I look forward to receiving your reply.
Thank you

For Bluemsx: Never sprite limit? Always four or eight sprite?
See this post from forum: MSX1 Video Board: F18A 1.3
-

Has F18A been added to bluemsx emulator? It's possible ?

In that case, no bluemsx no programs games or utility
I will continue with OpenMSX!

WoW... That's an impressive kick of almost 12 years Smile
Anyway, BlueMSX hasn't seen any new release since 2009. I suggest you use OpenMSX indeed, or the easy solition: WebMSX. With ALT-S you can swithch to unlimited sprites as well.

Yes, I know it disables the sprite limit on WebMsx.
but ... i do not want internet to connect webmsx ... just offline!

WebMsx is a great program for programming and playing online.

WebMSX can also be used offline. It includes a standalone version.
