One Chip MSX hits the streets in Japan

During the Kanazawa contents market 2006 the first One Chip MSX computers hit the streets. The Japanese retro computing portal RetroPC have managed to get their hands on one and have taken pictures of the box and One Chip MSX casing.

November 19th, 2006 - 15 years after the MSX turboR, the new MSX computer is there. For two more days - or until it's sold out - the Western edition of the One Chip MSX is available on pre-order at Bazix.

I haven’t seen any PS3s on any shelves… So I don’t think there’s much to compete with Smile.

IMHO the picture on the ocm box is not very nice... maybe I'm a bit perverse but, at first, it gives me a pedo-pornographic impression... then looking with more attention it is clear that it cannot be...

Well... Used to own one. To me, it looked at first like the parent was smashing something through their child's head. Like a screen or tablet. Maybe it's because they didn't live up to their expectations? Big smile
But later, I figured that the kid is probably wearing a cap. Sometimes I'm a bit slow. Wink
