You say you have an MSX turboR. I say you try the /W and the /V command line options. Usually the /W takes care of the audio jitter.
Oh yeah! It runs as smooth as a brook. It is really impressive.
Now it's time to convert some files into .eva and enjoy the show
Thank you very much
I still wish if some one can add controls (forward/backward/pause/stop/start) to the evaide.com. That would be a great thing to do.

Aha, an up-to-date topic on EVA files
When I try to convert AVI to EVA with this command:
avi2eva filename.ext filename.eva -hsize128 -vsize106 -fps12 -dither
I get the following message:
AVI to EVA converter Version 0.8, created by BUPPU can not open get frame can not open 'filename.ext'
I have succesfully converted DivX movies before and all the movies I tried to convert this time are DivX as well. I wonder why avi2eva is telling me it cannot open get frame, something to do with the DivX version that is used?
Please advise, as I would hate to convert to a different format and to avi again before I can make the eva files
(by the way, I am using winXP SP2 with the latest updates installed)
@NYYRIKKI: Did you recieve your SW6: In The Pirkinning DVD yet?

I have the same problem.
Can anyone give some suggestion?
It's all about the codecs that works with "Video for Windows". The actual error is that the Video for Windows interface/API can't read information on the avi file, due to some broken codec.
That being said, I never tested avi2eva on Vista or Seven, so I don't know how it behaves on those systems.
I was having strangely the same problem a couple of days ago (with videos I had previously converted without problems) - but re-installing a bunch of codecs (K-Lite codec pack, AviSynth, ffdshow...) somehow fixed it again.
ant0niutti told me some days ago that installing AviSynth on his system enabled him to now convert some movies in divx format - there were still a problem with sounds (files were mute or something), but at least he could get passed by this "can not open get frame" error.
So anyone with problems with Avi2Eva may try this too, and report if it helped or not...
Many years ago I wrote a complete article about EVA conversions (in Italian). Finally I suggest you to use VirtualDub to save correctly in AVI, before to use AVI2EVA (I used official DivX 5 codec, very good quality and sound for AVI2EVA). You can find some videos on my web (but source is not a dvd, instead mpg 1).
@enribar: Can you send me this article, please?
I just installed K-Lite codec pack, AviSynth, ffdshow, XP-Codec-Pack-2.5.9, and I can´t run avi2eva
Same message that ant0niutti and Haohmaru.
