I tried every romload option.
What the hell is this ROM made of?? Big smile It's not a Konami MegaROM with or w/o SCC, it's not ASCII-8 or ASCII-16...
How do you guys load it?

regards

Doesn't the 1chip have a cart slot? Put it in there Tongue
The game uses a custom Irem chip and 2 romchips (128KB + 256KB). Romloading software doesn't support it

@hap: No, my 1ChipMSX doesn't have a cartidge slot. It's an AlteraDE1 board configured as an MSX2+. And no, I can't solder one myselft.

There must be any romloading software that supports it. There's even a 512KB rom in planetemu, wich I can't load either.

Please save your non-constructive suggestions towards buying old carts. That's NOT what I'm talking about Big smile

Why you prefer Roms vs Dsk? Once loaded what's the diference?

@x-nen: well, it loads faster and since it uses native SCC or ASCII-16K mapper, the game doesn't suffer from slowdowns like those dsk versions wich use internal mapper.

@x-nen: well, it loads faster and since it uses native SCC or ASCII-16K mapper, the game doesn't suffer from slowdowns like those dsk versions wich use internal mapper.Have my own R-Type cracked version which runs from disk files (not sector I/O), loads up in seconds from SD card, and loads another block from disk in a fraction of a second @ the start of a new level. No disk I/O or slowdowns during regular gameplay. Runs even on MSX1 with large enough mapper, works fine both with MSX-DOS 1 and 2, and fixes a bug in MSX-Music detection.

Who needs a ROM loader and/or modified ROM when you've got a disk version like that?
