A patch is available to make the Bifi's version. CRC32 of the v1.1 is FA5E6C06.
There are 3 versions by Jipe. CRC32s = 2A019191 (for ASC8 mapper), A3A51FBB (ASC16 mapper) and 952BFAA4 (Konami mapper). I think you can find it on the tfh site.

30 something years ago I bought R-type for MSX, and it worked on my msx2 but I remember trying it on my neighbours Casio PV-7 and the bottom of the screen was missing. I don't know if it was because it only has 8K and it is not supposed to work on PV-7, or the TV was the problem.
sorry, but I still can't find anything ..; (Even typing "msx r-type 512k rom" I only find the ROMs already tested by IREM or endless discussions on the forum ... You can direct me to the page where to download the ROMs of r-type running in MSX2 with Carnivore2 .. thanks1000
Thanks gdx, however on the BIFI site, regarding R-type, I only find the "RTYPE-FM.LZH" file which is not an executable ROM .. I checked all the pages but I can't find the previously mentioned Roms .. ??
