Loading R-TYPE rom on an 1ChipMSX

ok, I thought I would find a Rom R-Type ready to load in Carnivore2. in the File Hunter site I found this Rom "R-Type Enhancement Patch (ROM add-on) - BiFi Productions (2010) [v1.1] [Bifi's R-Type Rom add on] [original] [5229]", then from do it work with the original R-Type 5229 Rom? How can I apply the patch to the original Rom ?? Do I have to load 2 Roms at the same time in SofàRun?
