Thx, but still needs quite some fine tuning. I'm now trying to see at what rate playback is still feasible on a regular MSX2, also given the additional overhead of C. Also the ending is not always as expected, being it stops too early (so part of the song missing) or too late (where it plays garbage after the song is finished).
I added an additional player to RoboPlay, this time an Amiga MOD replayer. See this video for a run of an early version of the player. Still a number of effect commands need to be added, as well as variable number of channels support (i.e. 2, 4, 8). Next to that i also want to look into support for the XM module format.
Awesome
@ToriHino: great work!
Maybe you also can help Manuel and his team to fix a bug in the Windows build of OpenMSX?
MIDI output is distorted and notes are missed.
Look over here
Maybe you also can add support for Standard MIDI files to RoboPlay? That would be great as well.
Preferable with a interface like SAWP.
BTW, did you make a patch for SAWP in the past to output MIDI to Philips Music Module for Turbo R ST?
I did have it in the past but lost it. Maybe you can release this one as well preferable as IPS patch?
Keep up the great work!
I'm already working on adding a MIDI player as well. And yes i did patch SAWP for the music module some years ago, still have that around here somewhere. You can find the IPS patch here
Great, thanks! Look forward to see MIDI support for RoboPlay.
Updated the Amiga module plugin. Most effects are now supported, added stereo settings and module type detection. Still some minor replay quirks left. This video shows current status.
Great! Can we already download the updated version of RoboPlay?
