A work in progress version can be found here. Note that i mainly tested on a turboR, so don't know yet about the performance on a regular msx 2.
Nice! Will do some testing here on both systems.
New update, see here, to the Amiga module player plugin. Now also supports more than 4 channels and fixed some replay bugs.
Thanks to Robosoft now also tested on additional (MSX2) hardware (including the notorious HB-F500P).
Awesome
Hello ToriHino, I have some big mods , 1000kb and 1700kb , but this Mod don’t work correctly with Roboplay, maybe I can send you this mods for improve your player.
Great work
Ahhh, I using a Wozblaster with 2mb SRAM for load this big mods.
@knm1983 : Yamaha YMF278B OPL4 chip can manage PCM samples but a single "stream/channel" of PCM samples must be of length < 65536, this HW constraint is something that MOD music format does not know.
Ohhh okok, i do not know this limitation , thanks for this answer
I've always liked to play mod music on my msx with the Moonsound.
thanks for these wonderful programs
Excuse me guys, I'm testing the new version and these mod are working correctly now, excuse me, when I tried these mod, I was still using the previous version
Indeed i fixed some issues with larger mods. I use a DalSoRi 2, which can handle up to 4MB of sample ram (but mostly i just run it in 2MB mode), and played mods up to the size of 2MB.
In the mean time fixed some more minor replay bugs, new binary upload can be found here again. Loading the mod should go a bit faster as well with this version.
If you do find mods that do not play correct, please let me know. Note that due to a limitation of the OPL4 the replay of a sample starting at another address than the start address is not possible run-time (the SampleOffset command 9 in module).
