First of all: The suspicion is obvious. But this news post is no April fool's joke!

Never before has an MSX user put such a huge project on its feet.

On an area of 1,000 square meters our beloved Bas Kornalijslijper is planning his life's work:
  • An MSX theme park!

If you still think that this is an April Fool's joke, we understand.
Bas has sold his well established Lego mail order business to make his and our dream come true. In Hoorn, NL, a game paradise will be created with:

  • over 40 different consoles and home computers ready to play
  • Online and VR gaming equipment
  • over 30 arcade cabins
  • Air hockey and table football
  • a corner with mini consoles
  • everything is available, from Pong to Playstation 4

Of course, everything will be furnished in a modern way and the opportunity to satisfy hunger and thirst will be realised in style.

We are looking forward to reporting more about this mammoth project soon.
Even after the first of April!

This is pretty cool!

He should throw in 15-20 pinball machines aswell, and get a regular tournaments, that would draw a crowd of people reguarly.

We already have such a place in the UK, in fact two places, the Retro Computer Museum, here in Leicester, and the Centre for computing history in Cambridge, where I had the pleasure of meeting other MSX users Wink

These places specialise in all different retro computer systems, the latter even having a prototype of the Sinclair Spectrum

Awesome idea! Needs thorough planning, especially for the industrial-grade controllers to be used with the old computers. Otherwise visitors will break those home grade controllers in a couple of weeks.
