Because audio is output through a jack, it is not affected by the NMS8280’s bad audio circuitry issues. And the Carnivore2 has similar Flash ROM functions as the MFR.

thanks, interesting as a price! They look like something I saw online from a Russian seller. From the description it has SCC + and FM-PAC, this C2 cartridge also has the jack for stereo output where to connect a Hi-fi or TV ?? are you enjoying yourself?

Yes, it has a jack for audio output. I have it connected to an old fashion stereo I am very happy with the Carnivore 2.

Ah nice link. Those Carnivore2 cartridges look to be Maxiol’s, you may be able to get them a little cheaper from Maxiol directly, but buying through eBay is convenient!

I really like that Carnivore2 is an open source project with several licensed distributors btw.

At the moment they are in stock at Retro Game Restore in Taiwan: https://retrogamerestore.com/store/carnivore2/

I think previously different official distributors had their own sales territories but at the moment the allowed shipping country/region list seems to have been removed, maybe because other manufacturers have no stock?

the cost is the same as in ebay, even the features seem the same! I like the fact that C2 already has SCC + and FM-Pack + output jack options, as well as the MFR function! Thanks

Yes, from Maxiol directly is a little cheaper, just ordered a C2 myself two months ago. I had to pay 8950 rubles, which was roughly 104 euros. That included shipping. Through eBay you pay around 10 euros more. Definitely more convenient through eBay though.

Also good to mention that when you order directly through Maxiol you have a wider choice of colors and finishes available, something I didn't see on the eBay store.
