As a trophy hunter, I'm still buying 'stuff'...
I have absolutely zero experience of MSX, I bought mine after seeing one on the ZX forum and thought it looked good.

14 ore 15 years ago i sold, my philips nms 8255 for a habbekrats ( dirt cheap) cos i thought the computer was broken, ( the tv couln'd handle the signal didn't know that at that time) and discovered the emulatation bluemsx m.a.m.e. and not used the real msx, so stupid to sel at that time, i re discovered the fun of a real msx by reading about the megaflashrom, luckily 10 years ago the msx computers where not expesive and found a nms 8250 for €35,- and it was a msx converteren to a msx2+ with sound fix then i also discovered that my old msx had the problem With the scc pgs sound, I had more luck than wisdom so to speak.
Yeah those prices won’t come back soon. The main reason is obviously increasing demand (especially during COVID) and lower availability of machines.
A few years back I started "collecting" MSX stuff for the third time, so that's pretty silly.
I'm going for "new old hardware" now and currently have an SX-2 and 2 Zemmix Neo's. I also buy the odd physical MSX game.
I have limited space in my appartment so my "retro/MSX corner" is quite small. Ok, technically I could turn the living room into a hardware garage but I really don't want to.
