Here are all the controls and keycombinations: http://trilobyte-msx.com/TriloTracker/index.php/Controls
For CTRL controls we generaly link the part of the screen to the capital letter of the item (orDer, Name, Instrument, sTp) etc. So if you spot a capital you can enter it using the CTRl key combination. For the rest we tried to follow common (windows) key conbination like CTRL+C,X,V,Z,Y etc.
Saving under a new filename is only a matter of typing the name. Just like the text in the save menu; "Please select a file to save or type a name". ;)
Dir-As-Disk is a bad idea. I'll probably get remarks from the openMSX team, but my experience is that it is not always 100% reliable. Also NEVER use disk images that are not properly formated under MSX-DOS2. These will give problems (not only for TT but all MSX-DOS2 applications).
In a openmsx dirasdisk just had the file not properly saved. There was created another file with similar name, but one changed to underscore, was next to it.
That is normal behaviour. All TMU files are backed-up before saving. You can even load the backup files in the file menu.
I'd be happy to investigate any of these problems if you give me a scenario (so that I can test the problem myself) where things definitely go wrong Dir-as-disk is supposed to work reliably and if it isn't, I'd like to get it fixed.
Problem is, when I am impatient because I cant get a tone out of it, then I trigger all bugs.
For example, I just pressed browser reload for whether there is new message.
Then something went funny, the index went "..7 8 8"
So far reaching is that "trigger all bugs" thing
I loaded the saved song and then trilotracker crash.
A problem is, it was a wide journey (with trigger all bugs )
So I can't tell whether it was before my switch to newer trilotracker version.
99% of time I use dirasdisk in crossdev in a readonly way, with no problems.
except every emulator makes its own thing with backup filenames a la name.s.$$$ .
by the way the brown infobar of openmsx, it is disturbing near the display, would be much nicer on the top.
when set adjust is high, it even covers display letters.
Yeah I got my first filter demo running
How to play a tone less loud without change of ADSR?
hit9918: openMSX doesn't make backup files at least. What do you mean with the 'brown infobar'? (Is it the 'toggle_info_panel' thing? We can't put it at the top, there is already the reverse bar... Try to use a scale_factor of 3 or 4, then the info panel is relatively small.)
Each track (channel) row has the following layout: n n n i v c x y
n= note
i= instrument
v= volume <<<<<< !!!!!!!
c= effect command
x,y = command parameters
how about a key "playback from top"?
c'mon. seriously?
If you need anything. It is here:

@Manuel, I meant .$$$ backupfiles created by PC side editor.
Like, on bluemsx, foo.s.$$$ makes foo.s file disappear in dirasdisk.
