I would like to do a few statistics ...
Can you please answer those few questions?

1- what is the year when you bought your first MSX ?

2 - Which model?

3 - How old were you?

4 - Did you upgrade to MSX2?

6 - Estimate how many originals games (or software) you bought at this time (in '80 '90) ?

2- msx2 philips vg-8235 (I had played with a msx1 vg-8020 of my friend in 1985)
3- 12
4- it was already updated but the 360kb fdd was a problem for me
5- nms8280 with mod in 1991 (v9958+fmpac+7mhz+msxdos2)
6- 1 game (infinito)
7- antartic adventure was the 1st msx1 game that I've played
8- super rambo special was the 1st msx2 game that I've played
9- no but a pc was joined in 1997
10- yes absolutely

Hehe these questions have a very strong mismatch with my history . My dad owned the computers, an MSX1 (VG8020) when I was very little (I can barely remember it), and an NMS8250 and VG8235 in late middle school and high school. The VG8235 ended up in my room when I was about 12 years old.

I never had an MSX1

In ’90 I was 8 so… My dad had between 10 and 20, I would say. He bought a lot more software after 1990, Dutch productions mostly. Nearly all Sunrise and ANMA games, etc.

Hard to remember. My dad bought it for me in 1990 When I was about 6 years old. Still own the machine

Never had a MSX-1

0 My dad was greedy and after rediscovering MSX I never realised originals could still be found

6 - between 10 and 20 original games (but about pirated and unauthorized releases... top secret... ;-)

bought other computers like PC-88MC2, Amiga 500, PC-9801 clones, Dynabook but they didn't replace my MSX.
I would say I stopped playing games on my MSX when I got a Gameboy.
