Thanks to the efforts and collaboration of MSXblue maintainer and all around big MSX supporter mars2000you, the MSXdev Team was able to reinstate the overarching library of what the contest, in the end is all about: the games.
All the games are now gathered in a single page with references to their contest edition and also a link for buying a physical copy, if available.
The MSXdev Team hopes that this will not only be an inspiration for future contenders, but will also draw worldwide attention to the fact that the MSX homebrew scene is where magic is born, and that MSX is still the best 8-bit system around.
A perhaps unnecessary reminder, but emphasizing it just to be sure:
As of now, you can find over 140 games for your MSX or emulator.
100% free download. 100% MSX. 100% MSXdev.
In other news, some donations have already been confirmed and added to the Rules section. Also, the word is around that some of last year's contenders have already started their engines, but both new, as well as veteran developers after a hiatus are preparing their entries as well.
So, since just a bit more than a week after the kick off, this year's MSXdev already appears to become a promising one.
Are you working on an MSX game, or even have one finished? Please consider to submit your work as an entry for this legendary MSX contest, and have the guarantee of a wide audience as possible, gain the attention of potential cartridge producers and even contend to win some prizes!
