Kuniji Ikeda has informed us that he has got several brand new keyboard films for Panasonic turboR computers in stock. These film cables can be used to replace dirty keyboard films which cause some keys of the keyboard not to function properly anymore. With 19 in stock, the keyboard films are available for 3400 yen ex. shipping costs. If you are interested in these films, or any other hard- or software from Japan (including V9958 chips) you can contact Ikeda at msx4ever@nifty.com

Unfortunately it is not just dirt, that causes keyboard not to function well. These films tend to tear so, that you can actually see trough the contacts. You can fix this few times by cutting the film so that it can be readjusted, but sooner or later you are going to need another film.

There has been also discussion about fixing the film with silver pen etc, but I don't have experience if it works or not.
