MSX-Family meeting on the MSX Nijmegen fair's eve 2021

In the best tradition, the MSX enthusiasts want to meet on the eve of this year's MSX show in Nijmegen to exchange blows at the Mercure Hotel in Nijmegen.
It's been too long since there has been an opportunity to meet face to face and without Insta-filters.
Be ready to share the latest gossip from the wide world of the Standard.
On this evening, the heart of the Standard will be in Nijmegen.
In accordance with local customs, we will comply with all measures that allow us to hold a gathering.
Everyone should be aware of the 2G rule; mutual consideration and respect for the virus are a given.

We will meet in the restaurant of Nijmegens Mercure Hotel from 19:00 on 15th october.

There is no 2G rule in Holland. Only 3G. Nonetheless, glad you point this out. I still don't know if the same rule applies to the fair on saturday though.

I'm a big fan of Hamlet graphical work. It has added so much to the MRC. And also let's not forget the X-Mas quiz and all the newspost/moderation he is doing. TFH is a big fan of Hamlet.

As for the rules, so far I understood from the patron of the fair place, that you need to show your corona-check QR code only at the bar if you want to order something and get seated there.

So, only a few days left. I talked to the patron again and he explicitly requested us to help with the Corona QR code checking. If they have to do all the checking/scanning the whole day, there will be delays at the bar and it's quite a burden for them. To help them we came up with the idea to introduce a stamp: if your valid QR code was scanned, you get a stamp and you don't have to be scanned the rest of the day anymore. You can help us by letting your QR code be scanned by Manuel or Raymond to get the stamp up front. Of course, you can also still get it at the bar if you can't find us quickly.

This way, we hope we can play our part in complying with the government rules on the corona virus. Your cooperation is highly appreciated! And of course, if you don't want a stamp, that's also fine. After all, the valid QR code is only necessary for ordering something at the bar.

The meeting and the fair were great again! Thanks so much to Manuel and all, who where coming!
It is the only (retro) computing meeting I know, which was NOT completeley canceld during one regular year (because of Corona).
I am looking forward a lot to March 2022!
