During the 10th edition of Festa68, a Sharp home computer fair focusing mainly on the impressive and successful Sharp X68000, Nibbles lab demonstrated a working version of an MZ700 core for the One Chip MSX. The Sharp MZ700 is a member of the Sharp MZ series of home computers. Several pictures of the OCM(Z700) in action can be found over here.

that's great news. It could mean broader acceptance of the OCM device. Something that should actually be pursued, regardless if the core would run MSX or not. (Enterprise 64/128, where are you on OCM?)

Indeed great news. I'm quite sure other 8-bit systems will be implemented on OCM too.
Anybody know if there are binaries (and maybe source) available of this project?

Onechip, a good emulator...
...maybe... but then it is an emulator that does not have the behaviour of an emulator... at least that's what I saw in the latest MSX Users Meeting in Barcelona.

Could be even cooler to see OCM running a non Z80-based core...
