Only because that actualy did display the game correctly, so I'm thinking there might be something in the later models that still might work.

I don't think I understand what you mean... (you can edit your posts within 30 minutes after posting).
Oh, then I simply never noticed
Anyways, on all the other emus I tried, the game doesn't even show the score in the levels, except during the boss fights, but FMSX did, so I assume it emulates it better then the others.
Hope that answers your question.
Heheh, interesting. So, I just ran the game on my real turboR and: the score isn't displayed during the levels.... just like it happens on openMSX.
At game over you get to see the score in the bottom.
It confirms that fMSX is really not an accurate emulator !
I saw it during boss fights too.
This is why I'd like to find an older, sync-compatible version of FMSX so I can see if the presence of the score means it might actualy load the game from disk C.
But so far, the speed is so astronomical that unless I find a computer about 15 plus years old to run it, it's probably not gonna work.
you can see the score when you put the game in pause with "ESC"
"Enter" key to resume
apa: what is the relation of the presence of the score and loading the game from disk C?
I sort of assumed that the version that actualy shows it might work in a less broken sort of way. Just a hunch though, cause I couldn't realy find any other solution.
