It has been a while since the last maintenance of the only remaining MSX-dedicated BBS. The changes are:

  • The BBS has been moved to Windows Azure IaaS Cloud Service. This will greatly improve the availability, uptime and response speed of the BBS, as it's no longer hosted in a home environment with a DSL connection.
  • Host operating system has been changed to GNU/Linux. Users shouldn't notice any difference as DOS based doors can be executed under DOSEMU.
  • Synchronet software upgraded in clean-install way to the lastest CVS version (3.16a).
  • Lastword module is back.
  • Fidonet and DOVE-net message base have been kept.
  • HispaMSX and SymbOS mailing-lists gates have lost their old messages, but they will receive and send the new ones.
  • t00b's MSX-DOS 2 shell is kept.
  • File download area has been kept.
  • Mailflow for your address youalias@bbs.hispamsx.org has been fixed.
  • User database has been reset. You will have to create a new account.

HispaMSX BBS is mainly accessed via Telnet. Recommended telnet clients are:
