Just to inform that I am happy with your tool.
A grep in my logfiles shows my MSX already connected 116 times!
So it probably saved me already like 2 hours of SD card swapping.
So I'm happy that this little tool is not only useful to me Swapping SD cards is not so good for the ports, specially on your MSX device (I already destroyed one on a MFR).
By the way, let me know if you tried the "pre-allocation" mode (command "PA 1"). This really can boost the download speed (up to 7x faster) for files greater than the target drive's cluster size (usually 32KB or 64KB), but causes kind of random crashes with Nextor (depending on your Nextor device, or if you have extended partitions or not...).
I've added a new command to GR8FTP to solve issues when the FTP server and your MSX are not in the same time zone, or if the server is using UTC vs. local time (see here):
TA <hours> Adjust times obtained from server by <hours> hours, or display current value if not specified
GR8FTP version has been changed to 2.3.
Thanks for the update. I've put it on my two MSX systems
@ Louthrax,
I can confirm it was my FTP service running on my Cloudserver that crashed when we were on the MSX Fair in Beuningen(Nijmegen).
GR8FTP I am using on a daily basis for my tests on real hardware and ofcourse to quickly test GR8cfg correctly.
There will be an update coming soon for it, thanks to the fair, people brought in their GR8NET for an update and Luppie and I experienced several different firmware situations.
Thanks Louthrax for some advice on your ftp client

You might want to at least add support for minutes as well, as there are timezones that differ for instance 30 or 45 minutes ;)
Unfortunately that's just one of many falsehoods programmers believe about time, and even that list isn't complete, as here are some more falsehoods programmers believe about time. ;)

Hi Wolverine,
Was nice to see you for real in Nijmegen , the "verbose" command in GR8FTP is indeed helping in a lot of situations!
Hmmm I've issue with gr8ftp, I have a "gr8net not found", which is Strange since I just made some callnet commands before typing my gr8ftp command callnetbrowse works ect... It appears that after typing gr8ftp , the gr8net bios is not accessible anymore, basic doesn't recognize the callnet commands anymore.
Do you have an idea of what happen ?
I've tryed to put the gr8net on different slot, it's always the same behavior.
I've also a megaflashsdrom in the other slot...
That MFRSD could be the problem. If you have only 1 gr8net, it should be in slot 1.
Did you try it without the MFRSD?
I have inverted the cartridges: gr8net on slot1 and mfrsd in 2, same result
I will test with an msx dos2 floppy without the mfrsd, but there, I’m less interested since
I was hoping to tranfer data from pc to the mfr sd to automate my dev flow.
But you are right it’s something related to the slot if I have well understood the c code
