Ok, got it, thanks for the videos
The only difference here is that you now have time to see the settings menu again before going back to the file browser. The delay before going back to the browser if not the deleting of the file, but the refresh of the file list.
I agree the previous behavior was a bit clearer, but this change is due to a somehow deep change in the keys handling in SofaRun. I won't fix this right now (I would consider it as a "cosmetic" problem), but maybe in the next release if I find some "code-elegant" way to do that

Ok, I've finallly found a not too bad way of restoring the old behavior. Just re-download!
I received my Sound Cartridge of 2048kB. I tried many SCC Roms. All work excepted Metal Gear 2 that crashes at the Konami logo whatever the used version.
The cartridge is auto-detected and the game is loaded well.
Metal Gear 2 works by using another loader. It also doesn't work with Sofarun 7.
Maybe try disabling some of the A.I. patching?
That's more likely related to the fact that SofaROM enables disk access to Nextor / SD cards when launching ROMs.
GDX, do you know if saving (F5 while in game) is working with the other loaders ? If yes does it save to SD Card or to floppy ?
You can also try to select the "disable disk driver" setting for that ROM (there's also a "disable subslots" option that sometimes improves things).

I can't see the game because it crashes at the Konami logo.

Already done without success.
I also tried by pressing the key A at the MSX starting up to disable the Sunrise CF with the Nextor driver.
I selected SCC Rom mapper. (Is that how to turn off the AI?)
The question was regarding saving with OTHER loaders, so probably you used SCROM or SC-LOAD. Can you save the game using these loaders? And will the game save to floppy or SD/CF?
You can change the AI level in the settings menu of the ROM, it is an integer value (1 to 3 IIRC)
I tested SC-LOAD, not SCROM. Metal Gear 2 works with SC-LOAD (I have to press Reset then the key A at the MSX starting up).

It looks like a kind of incompatilibty with Nextor (as you have to disable it with the A key). SofaROM forces Nextor so that everything can be saved to SD card in the "Saves" folder.
Could you try the following things:
- Launch King's Valley 2 with SofaROM and check if loading / saving levels works (on SD Card !).
- Launch Metal Geat 2 with Memory Mapper (you can set the "External SCC" to "Yes" to have SCC sounds).
King's Valley 2 works (MSX1 and MSX2 versions). Levels loading / saving doesn't work on the CF but works on floppy disk if I keep the AB codes and press Reset then the key A at the MSX starting up.
Metal Geat 2 works if I force the Memory Mapper or Turbo R mapper. It works too on ESE-SCC. The issue only occurs with the Sound Cartridge.
